| MLH Sales and Service Representative |
Gilson, Inc. currently has an exciting entry level opportunity for a MLH Sales and Service Representative. This direct sales position is responsible for providing Gilson MLH (manual liquid handling) pipette products and service to existing customers and as well as developing new accounts. The following territories are open:

Responsibilities:
- Generates sale leads and meets or exceeds established sales volume objectives to assigned territory.
- Sets up and demonstrates equipment and service offerings to potential customers at customer sites, or through various activities such as account specific, local or national trade shows.
- Provides appropriate quotes by following Sales and Service Program guidelines.
- Responsible for repair and calibrating Gilson products on-site per Gilson Service Program, and returning competitor products to the Gilson Service Center.
- Provides on-site customer training on Gilson products and services through seminars.
- Maintains test equipment and service stock.
- Research and maintains current knowledge and familiarity with competing products, pricing and competitor’s marketing practices.
- Responsible for automobile transportation (expenses reimbursed) and following established expense report guidelines.
- Responsible for transport and handling of equipment.
- Supports customer and MLH product line within a specific territory. May need to travel and support other territories when necessary. Involves extensive travel including some overnight stays.
Qualifications:
- B.S. Science Degree (life sciences) with bench experience.
- 1 year customer service/sales experience (be sure to include in your resume!).
- Computer proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
- Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity to handle small parts and tools.
- Excellent communication skills –verbal and written.
- Valid driver’s license, good driving record and reliable transportation (capable of transporting demonstration equipment when necessary) are required.
- Daily travel required with some weekend travel.
- Drug screen at hire and periodically thereafter/Criminal Background check at hire.
